What initially inspired you to be an interior designer?
I've always been inspired by architecture, furniture design and modern art. As a child I was constantly building and accessorizing spaces for my dolls, making elaborate blanket forts, drawing and later playing the SIMS. My dad is an architect and an urban planner, so I was also exposed to a lot of the design process growing up.
How would you describe your design style?
My style is contemporary and sometimes avante garde. I like simplicity paired with something bold and colorful!
How does design and fashion intersect in your own life?
It's constantly intersecting! I think interior design takes inspiration from fashion and vice versa. Designing a space is very similar to putting together an outfit. You have to think about what you want the space or outfit to do for you. What are you doing? What's the weather like? How do you want to feel? What do you want to project to others? All of these factors influence what you choose to wear. They also affect how you use a space and how that space makes you feel.
Do you have any hot tips on how we can make our spaces feel more warm and inviting?
First, I like to start by thinking about behavior, then I layer in color and materials. For example, how do you want to feel in your space? If it's relaxed, when do you feel the most relaxed? Is it while eating breakfast outside on vacation? If so, maybe moving your dining table to a window could be a nice experiment. Next, think about what colors are warm and inviting to you. If you don't know where to start, take a look in your closet! Like fashion, interior design is iterative. It can take a little trial and error to figure out what works best for you, but over time you will discover your own personal style!
How are you styling the Audrey dress in Poppy print?
I am styling the Audrey dress with a vintage cream rose necklace from my grandmother, red heart charm earrings, a classic silver watch, a minimal black handbag, and some black platform sandals.
What is it about the Hemloya brand that you admire?

How does wearing your Hemloya piece make you feel?
Wearing Hemloya makes me feel like the best version of myself - confident, elegant and inspired!
